Full Class A Uniform

Troop 107  believes wearing a uniform is part of the thrill of being a Scout. Put on your uniform and you feel ready for hiking, camping, and other Scout activities. By dressing alike, you and all other Scouts show that you are equals in the spirit of brotherhood and that you stand for certain ideals.

Wear your uniform proudly. It is a steady reminder to you and to others that a Scout is a person who can be trusted to lend a hand when help is needed. Dressed as a Scout, you want to act as a Scout.

Troop 107  required Full Class A Uniform at all Troop Meetings and Boards of Review. Any deviations from this will be announced in advance by the SPL.

Boy Scout Uniform Inspection

General Appearance---Allow 4 points for each: (1) Good Posture, (2) Clean Face and Hands, (3) Hair Combed, (4) Neatly Dressed, (5) Clean Fingernails. [Total 20 points]

Headgear---Two styles: (1) visored cap; or (2) campaign hat. All troop members must wear one of the headgear chosen by vote of the troop.  [Total 5 points]

Neckerchief and Slide---Insignia at back should be right side up and centered. Fold long edge over several flat folds to about 6 inches from tip of neckerchief. A tight fold prevents gathering around the neck and is more efficient than rolling or twirling. Draw neckerchief slide over ends and adjust to fit snugly. By vote of troop, ends may be left hanging loose or tied in a slipknot. Only the official Troop 107 neckerchief is acceptable.  [Total 5 points]

Shirt---Official long- or short-sleeve tan shirt with red shoulder loops on epaulets. Members of the Venture Crew should wear orange epaulets. The collar should be unbuttoned. The PLC of Troop 107 has chosen to wear the neckerchief under the open collar. [Total 15 points]

Belt---Olive web with BSA insignia on brass buckle or the official leather embossed BSA belt. The PLC of Troop 107  has voted that either belt is acceptable. [Total 5 points]

Pants/Shorts---Official, olive, pressed. No cuffs. [Total 15 points]

Socks---Official olive-colored mid-calf-length socks with red tops worn with official shorts or trousers. Long socks are optional with shorts. [Total 5 points]

Shoes---Leather or canvas, neat and clean. [Total 5 points]

Registration---Current membership card or temporary certificate on person. [Total 5 points]

Insignia---Correct placement allow 5 points for each: (1)Left pocket, (2) Right pocket, (3) Left sleeve, and (4) Right sleeve. [Total 20 points]

A perfect score is 100 points.
